Cinnamon Rolls with Bourbon-Soaked Bacon
Give those super easy ready-to-bake cinnamon rolls a little Southern flair! The result is a sweet and savory breakfast treat!
Ingredients
- 8 bacon strips
- 3/4 cup bourbon
- 1 can 12.4 ounces refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp Molasses
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 tbsp Bourbon for frosting
Instructions
Place bacon in a covered bowl and add bourbon. Seal and refrigerate overnight. Remove bacon and discard bourbon.
In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until tender, not crispy. Drain on paper towels & keep 1 tbsp of bacon drippings.
Preheat oven to 375°. Separate dough into eight rolls, and set aside the icing packet. Unroll spiral rolls and place one bacon strip on each strip of dough, trimming bacon as needed, then reroll forming a spiral. Repeat with remaining dough. Transfer to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet; bake until golden brown, 9-11 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine pecans, maple syrup, molasses, and 1/2 tbsp bourbon, then add to bacon drippings and cook over medium heat until pecans begin to glaze. Add in frosting packet, and stir until mixed. Drizzle pecan icing over warm cinnamon rolls; serve immediately.
